Kelly Dalton Promoted at PR Firm LTLA to Director of Publicity and Events

LTLA Communications President and CEO Lisa Taback announced Tuesday that Kelly Dalton has been elevated to director of publicity and special events for the company. Dalton, who hails from Toronto, joined LTLA in 2014 and has been instrumental in the company’s awards campaigns and overall PR.

LTLA launched in 1999, specializing in awards strategy for film, television, and music, as well as composers and tech companies. Their Oscar and Emmy campaigns include “Spotlight,” “Room,” “The King’s Speech,” “The Artist,” “Chicago.” and “Grace and Frankie.” In additional to foreign-language films, LTLA recently worked on the documentaries “Amy” and “20 Feet From Stardom.”

“Kelly brings an intuitive sensibility to our campaigns and has elevated every project she works on,” Taback said. “Events she curates have become important stops on the awards-season circuit.”

Dalton added, “I’ve had a long-standing love for the film business. Some of my favorite memories are of standing in line with my family at the Princess of Wales Theater during TIFF, watching everyone walk the red carpet before a premiere. Being on the other side of the velvet rope is a dream come true.”

Prior to joining LTLA, Dalton worked for Reel Canada, a Toronto-based firm that brings local awareness to films that have a Canadian connection, and Opulence Catering and Event Management. She attended Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. During her youth, Dalton attended the Toronto International Film Festival nearly every year, which sparked her passion for the business.
