Kelly Clarkson Surprises Vegas Street Musician as She Joins in on Impromptu Singing Session: Watch

The singer was in town for her performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on Saturday

Kelly Clarkson just made one fan’s day!

The singer, 41, shared a video on Instagram Saturday of herself surprising a woman singing on the sidewalk in Las Vegas, as she joined in for an impromptu performance.

The Kelly Clarkson Show host was in town ahead of her appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival that same day.

“I was on my way to soundcheck for @iHeartRadio tonight in Vegas and was tipping this incredible woman killing some Tina Turner,” Clarkson explained in her caption. “And then she asked me to sing and had no clue who I was.”

“And then it hit her, and it made my day!” she continued. “She gives the best hugs and sings her tail off! See ya tonight Vegas ❤️ #iHeartFestival2023.”

In the clip, the American Idol winner sang Tina Turner’s hit song “What’s Love Got to Do with It" while the woman danced and clapped beside her.

As the video progressed, the woman then stopped at one point and pointed at Clarkson, as she realized who was singing.

She let out a scream and threw her arms up to hug Clarkson as a gathering crowd cheered.

“I was like, ‘You sound so good!’” Clarkson said to the woman, hugging her again.

“Are you f---ing kidding me?” the street musician responded, making Clarkson laugh.

“So good 👏🏻,” Ryan Seacrest, wrote in response in the comments section.

Clarkson’s appearance at the iHeartRadio Festival this weekend came after she wrapped up her Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood last month, where she performed songs from her album Chemistry — a deluxe version of which dropped Friday.

Last month, the singer brought her two kids onstage with her during her residency.

“It was the most magical thing to be on stage [with them] — I didn’t know it was going to happen," Clarkson said of their appearance on the Today show Friday. "But how my kids were looking at me? They had so much fun on stage, first of all. But then how they were looking at me was like I was Thor! I literally was like, ‘Oh my God, they’re literally never going to look at me like this again.’ "

Clarkson shares her son River, 9, and daughter Remy, 7, with ex Brandon Blackstock, whom she divorced in 2020 after nearly seven years of marriage.
