Kelly Clarkson continues to slay it with her epic musical covers on daytime television, and she's now digging into her own song catalog to deliver a tune that comes with its own milestone.

For the May 8 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the TV host surprised viewers when she pulled out her hit single "Behind These Hazel Eyes" as the choice to perform for her opening "Kellyoke" segment. As Kelly wore light blue wide-legged jeans and a matching off-the-shoulder top for the performance, her new rendition of the 2004 track had the audience cheering and singing along with her. What's more, as she closed out the segment, Kelly couldn't help but get jokingly sentimental about the song turning 20 years old this year.

"That is what we call a Kellyoke classic," she explained in the clip posted on TikTok. "That was crazy — so many people I could've just handed the microphone to. I could see you singing every lyric. It's crazy — that was out 20 years ago. So, hashtag I'm old. It's all right. Like a fine wine."

When viewers caught on to Kelly pulling out — and rearranging — one of her most famous songs to perform on TV, they immediately were obsessed with the new version.

"Did she just... Kelly Clarkson her own song?!" one person asked in awe in the comments. "Behind these hazel eyes (Kelly’s Version)," another declared. "How does Kelly Clarkson out sing Kelly Clarkson? 🔥👏🤣," a different fan added.

As Kelly revels in singing the song (off her 2004 album Breakaway) on TV, folks should know this isn't the only tune in her music repertoire she's performed on The Kelly Clarkson Show. She's repeatedly sung tunes off her 2023 album Chemistry, like "Mine"in April 2023 and "I Hate Love"in April 2024.

If Kelly is taking requests to sing her own tracks, we'd love to get a cover of "Breakaway" sometime soon...
