Kelly Clarkson returns to 'The Voice' days after surgery

What doesn't kill her makes her stronger. Kelly Clarkson returned to The Voice Monday night just days after having surgery to remove her appendix. Clarkson revealed on Twitter the day after hosting the Billboard Music Awards last week, that she "broke down in tears after the show from pain," and that she "flew home directly after the event" to have the procedure. On Sunday, Clarkson updated her fans as she tweeted: "Recovering after surgery super duper sucks. Turns out I don’t “rest” well (so bored), pain meds make me feel a different kind of horrible to where I question if I’d just rather feel the pain instead, & 2 out of the 3 scars feel as if Lord Voldemort is always near." Despite having a hard time recovering, Clarkson is carrying on like the pro that she is. Fans noticed that there was a lot less of Clarkson during Monday night's show and that she wasn't her usual self, but they were all very supportive. One person tweeted: "@kelly_clarkson don't ever stop. She just had surgery, and still on #TheVoice. And she performed two times last week and didn't miss a beat. She tough."
