Kelly Clarkson Performs Stunning Cover of Donny Hathaway's 'This Christmas' for Kellyoke — Watch!

Earlier this week, the pop star covered Cher's "DJ Play a Christmas Song" during Kellyoke — and earned the Goddess of Pop's approval

Kelly Clarkson is keeping the holiday spirit alive on The Kelly Clarkson Show!

After delivering a soulful rendition of Cher's Christmas number "DJ Play a Christmas Song" on Tuesday, the "Favorite Kind of High" musician, 41, returned to Kellyoke with some holiday cheer by performing a cover of Donny Hathaway's 1970 classic "This Christmas."

For Wednesday's segment, Clarkson added an upbeat sheen to the horn-flanked rendition of the track.

"This Christmas, the fireside is blazing bright / We're caroling through the night / And this Christmas / Will be a very special Christmas / For me, yeah, ooh," the American Idol alum sang with a jazzy lilt.

Along the way, she ad-libbed some lyrics, while staying true to the Hathaway version.

Following Clarkson's cover of Cher's recent festive single on Tuesday, the Goddess of Pop, 77, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share how much she loved Clarkson's take on it.

"KELLY,,,,U ACED IT ❗❗U GOT THE GIRL.VERSION OF MY VOICE BABE,I AM OUT OF MY MIND OVER UR VERSION..THE MODULATION GAVE ME …I DONT KNOW, I JUST LOST MY MIND❗❗SISTER U GOT IT," Cher wrote.

Yesterday, the "Underneath the Tree" performer responded to Cher's message on the platform. "Girl, you gave us the greatest gift this Christmas with this song! Thank you for letting me sing it," she wrote. "I love you so much, and you made my year with your post!"

Clarkson's Kellyoke cover of "DJ Play a Christmas Song" isn't the first time she's showed how passionate she is about the track. The Grammy winner rocked out to the song while hosting NBC's Christmas in Rockefeller Center late last month as Cher performed it for a crowd.

“Oh my gosh, you guys,” Clarkson exclaimed during the show. “Cher just — she put out a Christmas jam, y’all! That song is so good! That is my favorite song in a very long time!”
