Kelly Clarkson moved to tears by young 'Voice' contestant

As this season’s key adviser on The Voice, Kelly Clarkson has been a huge fan of all of the talented contestants. But none of them have moved her as much as 17-year-old Noah Mac.

Kelly was floored by Jennifer Hudson‘s team member during rehearsal as he sang “Hold Back the River” by James Bay. And the former American Idol champion couldn’t get enough from Noah. “I want to hear him sing Coldplay and Chris Stapleton and anything by U2,” Kelly said, “I was very moved by him.” As a matter of fact, Kelly loved Noah’s voice so much that she was actually moved to tears by his performance. “OK, I’m, like, crying. You’re so good,” Kelly told Noah. As one would imagine, getting that response from Kelly was a complete shock to Noah. He said, “To have an effect like that on her, I would never expect in a million years that anything like that would ever happen.”

So after making Kelly cry with his intense voice, it was no surprise that Jennifer Hudson decided to keep Noah on her team, and Noah is never looking back. “I’m really proud of my own performance,” Noah said after J.Hud picked him as the winner, “This is the first time that I felt like myself up there. I felt comfortable. This is real. This is what I’m meant to do.”
