Kelly Clarkson isn't the only new thing on 'The Voice' but she is the best thing

Another season of The Voice is here — and this one’s with the amazing ray of sunshine, Kelly Clarkson. It didn’t take long for the American Idol alum to make her mark on this singing competition, although it did take her a minute to get used to those red chairs. “Whoa, Lord. You should warn a girl,” Kelly said as the chair unexpectedly spun back around.

Kelly isn’t the only thing new this season. Each coach now has one “block,” which can be a bummer for the contestants who might not get the coach they want but is a lot of fun for the coaches. They can use it to prevent a contestant from picking a specific coach. The first block of the season was Blake Shelton stopping Britton Buchanan from selecting Adam Levine.

The block was a somewhat interesting addition, but the first episode really focused on the newest coach. Kelly’s bubbly personality immediately brightened up the show, and it’s going to be a lot of fun watching her all season long.

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC. Watch clips and full episodes of The Voice for free on Yahoo View.
