The singer revealed that just hours after she hosted the Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday, she flew back to Los Angeles and had her appendix removed on Thursday morning.
“Not gonna lie,” the singer tweeted, “I may or may not have broken down in tears after the show from pain.”
She continued, “BUT thanks 2 all the amazing people @ Cedars-Sinai I flew home directly after the event, nailed the surgery early this morning, & feeling awesome now! Bye bye appendix.”

According to “Entertainment Tonight,” Clarkson had been suffering from appendicitis all week.
Clarkson is expected back at “The Voice” on Monday for the show’s live episode.
