"The Office" star Steve Carell made a special appearance on Kelly Clarkson’s talk show premiere to recreate an iconic moment from one of his biggest hits.
The actor walked out to a sole microphone and announced, “live on tape from Universal Studios in Hollywood. Ladies and Gentlemen, AHHHHHHH KELLY CLARKSON.”
The line is from his 2005 breakout movie “The 40-Year-Old Virgin”.
In the film, he plays Andy, who has been unlucky with love for some time. He eventually befriends his co-workers, who set out to help him find a girl. Their effort starts by trying to clean up Carell’s character by waxing his chest. His chest is extremely hairy and each strip being pulled hurts.
The line comes as Andy is getting waxes and he screams, “AHHHHHH Kelly Clarkson”. Clarkson then jumped right in to her first show.
The first guest was The Rock, who stepped him for Kevin Hart following his car crash.
Sources tell us, Clarkson is set to have an "American Idol" reunion with Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson joining her on a show soon.
Sources close to production tell The Blast that everyone is very excited for Kelly and she has been a joy to work with.
Clarkson was getting a ton of support from her celebrity friends ahead of the premiere.
The show is going full force with NBCUniversal locking down 200-plus stations for "The Kelly Clarkson Show," meaning it will air in 99% of the country. She is the lead-in for "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in most markets.
