One of our favorite singers is making the leap from the stage to the small screen: Kelly Clarkson is getting a new talk show, and she just revealed a sneak peek of the set to her fans. The original American Idol winner took to Instagram and gave her followers an exciting look at the set of The Kelly Clarkson Show and we’re already marking our calendars for the premiere date.

The “Love So Soft” singer’s talk show will mark her official foray into the daytime talk show arena and she is just as excited as her fans. “We’re about to come out on my stage, it’s gonna be so fun!” Clarkson, who radiated euphoria, shared to her followers as she moved from the wings to the bright and shiny new set. “Oh my god, I’m excited!” Clarkson then moved to show her followers where the band will be and said to crew members, “No one asked me to do this, I’m just excited… look how cool it is!”

Clarkson then showed off where her audience will be sitting with the front-facing camera, saying, “Don’t you want to come here? Doesn’t this feel like home?” Finally, the Grammy winner showed off her show’s neon purple sign and said with joy, “I have a show!”

We love her unbridled enthusiasm!

Of course, Clarkson has tried her hand at hosting before, albeit in a very different way. The singer hosted the 2019 Billboard Music Awards with success, having hosted the year prior, and is a regular guest on daytime TV. But that hasn’t meant Clarkson isn’t a bit nervous. While on Ellen, Clarkson shared with DeGeneres, “I was not good at listening. I had Alex, a producer on the show, draw an airplane on a big giant card and land it,” she shared of her trick for continuing conversations. But Clarkson was adamant about getting her interview form right, saying, “I’m gonna practice. I like a challenge.”

DeGeneres, meanwhile, is very hopeful Clarkson will nail it. Sharing with ET at her Relatable FYC event, “I did give her advice and I want her to succeed. She’s my lead in and she’s my friend,” DeGeneres said. “So I want her to succeed for many reasons and we need more women out there doing wonderful things. But I gave her some advice and we’ll see.”

Fans can tune in to The Kelly Clarkson Show Monday, September 9th on NBC.
