Broadway legend and “Gilmore Girls” matriarch Kelly Bishop is ready to spill all the tea (or in this case a perfectly prepared pitcher of martinis) about her time on the set of Stars Hollow.

More from Variety

The Tony-Award-winning actor (who found fame on stage as an original Broadway cast member in “A Chorus Line”) had a second resurgence of popularity after being cast as the iconic Emily Gilmore, mother to Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel), on the TV series “Gilmore Girls.”

Titled “The Third Gilmore,” Bishop’s upcoming memoir recalls her journey from stage to screen and no doubt will cover the viral stories she’s shared on the road (such as the wild tale about how the “Chorus Line” director Michael Bennett bought Bishop out of her 6-month contract for the touring show of “Irene” so she could drop everything for this new production — A wise decision made by all.

The book also promises a collection of personal photographs from the set of Amy Sherman-Palladino’s wondrous world that housed Luke’s Diner and Miss Patty’s School of Ballet.

Luke’s Diner Framed Art

Both the very first scene and very last shot of “Gilmore Girls” starts off in Luke’s Diner, a mainstay of the set that remains home to some of the most memorable scenes throughout all seven seasons. It’s from behind the counter that Luke finds out about his long-lost daughter for the first time, and on the floor that Lorelai proposes to Luke in a hasty but heartfelt moment. It’s also where Luke’s sister Liz gets danced on by a stripper during her bachelorette party, and in an unfortunate turn of events, even becomes the collateral damage of Kirk’s infamous car crash. Celebrate the beloved Luke’s diner with this gorgeous print.

Ceramic Takeout Containers

Fans (and Luke) may have been concerned with the sheer amount of takeout that Lorelai and Rory ordered throughout all seven seasons of the show. Seeing the duo cook was a rare occurrence, although once in a while they did manage to procure some Tater Tots or Pop Tarts. Whether you fancy yourself a chef or prefer the takeout route yourself, these reusable takeout containers are an environmentally friendly way to enjoy all kinds of delicious eats. Especially if you go the true Gilmore way, and order one of everything with plans to eat the rest all week long.

Oversized Knit Sweater

Lorelai and Rory were often mistaken for sisters, and not just because Lorelai was 16 when she had her daughter. Lorelai’s comfy but chic style is the stuff of mom goals everywhere, so it’s no wonder that Rory sometimes raided her closet. Invoke her fall style as you too wait for the first big snowfall with an oversized knit sweater that easily transitions into the winter season with the addition of a scarf and boots.

A Gin Kit

Would Lorelai have survived so many Friday night dinners without her go-to drink, a gin martini? Despite Emily (Kelly Bishop) and her best efforts to derail her daughter with a Sidecar, we’ve lost count of how many of these drinks Lorelai had to sip on over the years while putting up with her parents’ shenanigans. If you’ve got some time on your hands, why not concoct your own gin with a craft brewing kit. You can call it “Dragonfly Gin,” or some other punny, Gilmore-worthy name.
