Keke Palmer Toys With AI: “Why The Man Me Look More Correct”

Keke Palmer has no problem poking fun at herself. As the latest celebrity to partake in the AI Yearbook trend, the mother of one is joking about what artificial intelligence got right and wrong.

The first series of photos from the trend show a woman who resembles Palmer, but like a fan pointed out, it’s giving, “You know who you look like?!”

The 30-year-old laughed on the images, saying, “Idk y’all.. I feel like mine ain’t me fr.” Syleena Johnson teased, stating this is what Palmer’s daughter would look like as actor, Lawrence Robinson dubbed her “Keke Christina Palmer Milian.”

She then redid it, but chose to see what the male version of her would look like. Of those variations, the KeyTV mogul expressed, “Why the man me look more correct — I’m hollering omg haha yassssss.”

With a series of laughing emojis, Tamera Mowry commented, “Why. Just whyyyyy?!?!” Singer Ravaughn joked, “More correct is hilarious lmao.” However, fans chose to name Palmer’s male AI character. They settled on Keon, Kenneth, and Keyontè.

Others felt one version was how her son, Leo, would look like all grown up, but for now, we’ll just watch the young heir laugh at other TikTok trends.

Even though the jokes were flying on Instagram, Twitter was begging for those participating in the AI Yearbook trend to stop.

One person tweeted, “The AI yearbook trend. We ain’t never going to be free. We sitting up on strikes and trying to fight against AI technology and y’all just Willy nilly doing s**t like this.” Another chimed in, “I know these AI headshot/yearbook photos are cool & you guys look amazing but please stop feeding AI & supporting AI art.”

With AI being part of why SAG-AFTRA is still on strike, there are some actors who aren’t finding humor in the trend. As negotiations continue, Variety noted, “Industry insiders will closely watch how SAG-AFTRA approaches regulation of generative artificial intelligence and the reuse of actor likenesses using cutting-edge rendering technologies.”
