Keke Palmer becomes the latest celebrity to take the mound after she threw the first pitch for her hometown’s major league baseball game.

Today (July 26), the Hollywood entertainer revealed she recently returned to Chicago, where she was born. While there, she attended Chicago White Sox’s game against the Chicago Cubs at Guaranteed Rate Field on July 25. The 29-year-old served body as she walked onto the field wearing bell-bottom jeans and a black top with her braids in a bun. On Instagram, Palmer shared how she felt about her performance. “The Virgo in me was so mad it wasn’t perfect,” the Nope actress wrote.

Although her accuracy wasn’t what she would’ve liked, Palmer shared in another post that she “had so much fun throwing the first pitch at the White Sox game!” The R&B singer also revealed that Bria Anderson, the wife of White Sox shortstop Timothy Anderson, was a gracious host. “My boo Bria had me and the whole family set. You are everything, Queen!” Palmer noted.

Among the attendees with Palmer was her son, Leodis Andrellton Jackson, whom she shares with her boyfriend, Darius Jackson. The baby boy was pictured wearing a White Sox jersey in a photo alongside his mother. The baseball franchise also revealed that Palmer was gifted a custom jersey with her name and the number nine on the back. “You know it’s your girl, Keke,” the team’s IG page wrote.

Outside of throwing pitches, Palmer continues to cement her place in the TV/film industry. In March, the “Keep a Job” songstress announced she will star in and co-produce Kevin Hart’s comedy The Backup. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is currently in development at Universal Pictures. “Kevin Hart, you are a boss!” she captioned her post. “Thank you for everything.”
