Keke Palmer Says “Mind Y’all’s Business” When Asked About Darius Jackson Relationship

After months of public conversation regarding her relationship status with Darius Jackson, Keke Palmer is now choosing to keep her business under wraps.

On Monday (Sept. 25), the 30-year-old appeared on Today with Hoda & Jenna, where she was asked if she was still dating the father of her son. Ripping a page from the “book of Beyoncé,” Palmer wittily told the hosts to mind the business that pays them.

The couple unfollowed each other on social media back in August, alluding to a break up. However, the two were spotted at Beyoncé’s Renaissance show in Los Angeles on Sept. 4, sparking speculations that they might be back together.

“We want to know if you’re happy,” Jenna started before Palmer replied, “Yes, life is good. I have nothing but gratitude, honestly. Seriously.” When Hoda asked if that meant “for the relationship…?” the Nope actress clarified, “I’m not trying to be specific!”

Jenna pressed even more, “Well, are y’all together?” to which Palmer responded, “I’m going to take a page out of my girl Beyoncé’s book: Mind y’all’s business.”

“We will do that,” she replied.

Palmer and Jackson had a relationship hurdle back in July following the KeyTV creator attending Usher’s Las Vegas residency.

During the show, Palmer wore a risqué ensemble and even danced with the “My Way” crooner as he serenaded her. Following the show, Jackson publicly criticized Palmer’s outfit and motherhood, which garnered him a heap of backlash.

“It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom,” he tweeted in response to photos of Palmer at the time. During their riff, Palmer went on to create “I’m A Motha” merchandise as Jackson deleted his social media temporarily.

The pair has since been spotted back together. In August, Jackson helped Palmer celebrate her 30th birthday. In a sweet social media post, Jackson referred to Palmer as “my partner in crime,” and a “one of a kind being.”

Before their public relationship drama, the couple also filmed an episode of her podcast Baby, This is Keke Palmer, where Jackson revealed his insecurities of dating in the spotlight.

“At first, it definitely was hard because it could all be very overwhelming. It was definitely overwhelming and intense at first,” he said. “You almost feel that pressure of needing to be perfect. It really confused me and infiltrated my mind because not only did I have to hold myself to that perfect standard, I was also holding you to a perfect standard as well.”

He added, “So any moment of flaw on my side or on your side, it was World War III because it’s like—,” Palmer added, “—and now the world sees us.”

“Exactly,” Jackson said. See below.
