Plot details are being kept in the vault but the Matt Mider and Kevin Burrows-penned script is being described as a heist comedy.

A February start is being planned.

Executive producing are The Story Company’s Vicky Mara Story, Davis Entertainment’s Jeremy Stein, along with Kevin Burrows, Ross Fanger, and Matt Mider.

The feature’s go status marks the second Murphy-centric project for Amazon and follows the successful launch of Prime Video’s Candy Cane Lane. That Christmas comedy, which Murphy starred in and produced, was its most-watched Amazon MGM Studios-produced movie debut ever in the U.S. and among its top 10 worldwide film debuts for the streamer in its first three days of release.

Palmer most recently starred with Daniel Kaluuya in Jordan Peele’s monster movie Nope, released by Universal Pictures. She also did voicework in Pixar’s Lightyear and the Disney series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. Other credits include Alice, which she also executive produced, and Hustlers, alongside Jennifer Lopez.

Palmer is repped by 3 Arts, LUNA Entertainment, and Hertz Lichtenstein.
