(NBC) — The Knockout Round wraps up Monday on “The Voice” and so does the mega-mentoring for Keith Urban.

He made an impression on the artists last week not just with his advice.

“The Voice” artists were plenty curious last week about who their mega mentor was gonna be.

“They’re either really good actors, or were really happy to see me,” said Urban. “When you’re in that position, I always wanna be supportive, but be truthful and find a balance.”

Something he learned serving as a coach on “The Voice” in Australia.

“I love ‘The Voice,’ I mean, I love the journey everyone’s on,” said Urban. “The mentoring’s always been the favorite part for me anyway.”

Now, Urban’s stateside advice could help artists advance and carry them into next week’s playoff round.

“You’re a vessel for this thing, this gift of music,” said Urban. “You’re just a vessel for it. Our job is to just let it flow through us.”

“The Voice” airs Monday at 8 p.m., followed by “Deal or No Deal Island”, where seven contestants remain and the value of the season-ending case has climbed above $3 million.
