All Elite Wrestling superstar Keith Lee has not been cleared to wrestle at AEW Worlds End, and is still dealing with an injury, the superstar revealed.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday, Lee revealed that he’s been working through an injury since Arthur Ashe 2022, and that it’s only gotten worse since Final Battle. For that reason, he’ll be held out of Worlds End, when he was set to face off against Swerve Strickland in a highly anticipated singles match.
Lee last wrestled against Shane Taylor at ROH Final Battle. In a follow-up tweet from AEW’s Tony Khan, he revealed that doctors wouldn’t clear Lee to perform at Worlds End. In his place, Dusty Rhodes will face off against Strickland.
Today… I keep it very real with you guys.
I have been working through an injury since Arthur Ashe Stadium 2022. It has been mostly well taken care of.
Things have been worse since Final Battle. I am trying to get through today for you guys, but I cannot promise anything.— Excellent Lee (@RealKeithLee) December 30, 2023
