Keisha Castle-Hughes In Negotiations For Discovery Channel’s FBI Crime-Drama ‘Manifesto’

EXCLUSIVE: Keisha Castle-Hughes is in negotiations for a role in Discovery Channel’s upcoming FBI crime drama Manifesto.

She will play Tabby, a street agent who partners with FBI special agent Jim “Fitz” Fitzgerald (by Sam Worthington). She has no experience in the department but is studying psychology, so they put her in the Behavioral Unit. Tabby tries to keep Fitz, the specialized linguist who challenged old-school ways of intelligence gathering and whose approach ultimately lead to the capture of “Unabomber” Ted Kaczynski, in check in the quest to solve the case.

As first revealed by Deadline, Paul Bettany will play Kaczynski.

Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti executive produce the show through their Trigger Street Productions banner, while Black List writer Andrew Sodroski, who penned the pilot, also will exec produce along with Troy Searer and Discovery’s John Goldwyn.

Emmy winner Greg Yaitanes, who directed House M.D., will be showrunner for the series, will exec produce and is set to direct all episodes of Manifesto. He recently directed an episode of WGN America’s Underground.

The high-profile FBI drama, another big push from the Discovery Channel into scripted programming after the network’s miniseries Harley and the Davidsons, will examine how the FBI caught infamous criminal masterminds. The Unabomber-Fitzgerald storyline will be the focus of the first season.

Castle-Hughes has had roles in Game of Thrones and Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith and next can been seen in Jason Hall’s Thank You for Your Service.

Worthington recently starred in Mel Gibson’s critically acclaimed Hacksaw Ridge as well as last year’s mountain-climbing epic Everest. Next up is Lennart Ruff’s sci-fi The Titan and Stuart Hazeldine’s drama The Shack, based on a Christian novel by Canadian author William P. Young.

Castle-Hughes is repped by Innovative Artists and Industry Entertainment. Worthington is repped by CAA, Shanahan Management and Anonymous Content.

Bettany is repped by UTA, Affirmative Entertainment and Independent Talent Group. Sodroski is repped by CAA, Pacific View Management and attorney David Fox. Yaitanes is repped by CAA and Skrzyniarz & Mallean.
