Re-entering The Matrix

Fans of The Matrix had their minds blown this summer when director Lana Wachowski announced that the original team would be reuniting for a fourth film in the franchise. Not only would Wachowski return to direct, stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss would once again slip on the black jackets to play Neo and Trinity.

Keanu Reeves Is Excited

In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Reeves revealed that not only has he read the script, but he's "absolutely" excited about where Neo is headed next. He praised the script and seems eager to get started.

"It's very ambitious. As it should be!"

During the initial announcement, Wachowski spoke about how the themes that she and her sister Lily delved into in the first three films are even more relevant today.

"Many of the ideas Lilly and I explored 20 years ago about our reality are even more relevant now. I’m very happy to have these characters back in my life and grateful for another chance to work with my brilliant friends."

Will Jada Pinkett Smith Return Too?

Jada Pinkett Smith, who appeared in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, also hinted in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that her character Niobe could also make a return.

"Well, I've had my conversations with Lana [Wachowski], so, you know, we'll see. I think, you know… I think there might be some things on the horizon."
