Bon appétit, baby indeed.
A "hungover" Katy Perry appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Monday and dished about Orlando Bloom's Valentine's Day proposal and their love for a certain fast food chain.
"We bonded over an In-N-Out Burger about three years (ago) at the Golden Globes," the singer remembered. "He stole one off of my table – I was sitting with Denzel Washington, and he took it, and I was like, 'Wait – who? Oh, you're so hot. Fine, take it.'"
Perry said Bloom was impressed when she followed-up about his hamburglary.
"I saw him at a party and I was like, 'How are those onions resting on your molars?'" she said. "He's like, 'I like you.' And then, you know, cut to (raises ring finger to highlight engagement bling.)"
On Feb. 15, Perry and Bloom posted matching Instagrams featuring her floral-shaped rock, about which she acknowledged she "voiced my opinions."
The "Swish Swish" singer also revealed details about the "really sweet" way Bloom popped the question.
She recalled, "We went to dinner, and I thought we were going to go and see some art after dinner, but we pulled up to a helicopter," a move Kimmel remarked was "very 'Bachelor.' "
Perry agreed, laughing. "I'm glad I don't have to go on that show now."
From there, she explained how the engagement went from "Bachelor" to straight-up rom-com when Bloom tried to distract her with a note he wrote so he could pull the ring out of his pocket.
"So I'm reading it, but I'm hearing like the champagne is broken, the bottle's everywhere and I'm still looking at the note because he's pulling at this box that's too big for his coat pocket and rips his coat pocket, and his elbow goes into the champagne," she said, "and I'm like, 'No, I'm just reading the note. I know you're not doing anything."
But for Perry, Bloom's plan was perfect.
"My whole family was there, and all my friends," she recalled. "He did so well."
