Katy Perry arrives at NBC's

Katy Perry wowed on the red carpet in Los Angeles last night in a black gown complete with a fur-trimmed hood.

The singer, 38, posed as she arrived at NBC's Carol Burnett: 90 Years Of Laughter + Love birthday special.

Her floor-length, long-sleeved dress also featured silver sequin detailing as well as a one-sided, off-shoulder design.

The form-fitting evening look is from Bob Mackie's 1989 couture collection and costs over £7,000.

Perry finished off her head-turning ensemble with a pair of statement silver earrings and added sparking rings, as well as a pair of black heels.

She wore her trademark dark locks in an up-do with a sweeping fringe, and kept her make-up glowy with a 1960s spin on her eyelashes.

The event – which was also attended by actress Sofia Vergara and singer Cher – was the recording of a tribute to comedy star Burnett, who will turn 90 in April.

Her appearance comes after Perry's partner Orlando Bloom, who she began dating in 2016, opened up about their "challenging" relationship last month.

The actor, 46, described the singer as his “baby mama and life partner” to Flaunt magazine, whilst also admitting that "sometimes things are really, really, really, challenging. I won’t lie".

He explained: “We definitely battle with our emotions and creativity, (but) I think we’re both aware of how blessed we are to have uniquely connected in the way that we did, at the time that we did, and there’s definitely never a dull moment.”

Bloom, who shares a child with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, added: “We’re in two very different pools. Her pool is not a pool that I necessarily understand, and I think my pool is not a pool that she necessarily understands."

The couple got engaged in 2019 and welcomed their daughter Daisy in 2020.
