Katy Perry Says 'There Is Nothing Like a Mother’s Love' in Sweet Post to Her Mom and Daughter

Perry celebrated Mother's Day by sharing images of her pregnancy journey with Daisy Dove, 3.

Katy Perry is getting sentimental.

On Mother's Day the “Smile” singer shared a carousel post that featured snaps of the moment she told partner Orlando Bloom she was pregnant with daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, 3, along with clips of her revealing the news to her American Idol co-judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.

“Today I told my mother that the day I realized how much she loved me is the day I had my own daughter, Daisy Dove," Perry, 39, wrote in a sweet caption to her mom, Mary Perry. "There is nothing like a Mother’s love… never take it for granted… Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and caretakers — any way you come ♥️.”

The singer also shared a snap of her pregnancy stick showing a positive result and a video of a hospital scan showing an ultrasound image of Daisy and audio of her heartbeat.

This was followed by a series of mirror selfies of Perry wearing different outfits to show her pregnancy journey with Daisy. The carousel finished with a photoshoot image of her posing in the sunset with her baby bump.

In the video with Richie and Bryan, Perry can be heard saying “So you’re not allowed to tell anyone but I’m very pregnant, " before the pair hugged her. She also told them that she was three months pregnant at the time.

Alongside the images, Perry shared a video of her transforming into Cinderella for American Idol’s Disney Night.

On May 9, Perry also revealed she named her new spring Katy Perry Collections shoe after her daughter.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE she said "of course" loves to wear the Evie Daisy Flat during a mother-daughter day with Daisy.

"I find inspo in life!" she told PEOPLE. "Everything from a big statement heel for going out (like the Framing family of heels) to vacay fun (like the Camie Stone sandal) to shoes in raffia and denim that I like to wear running errands in Santa Barbara."
