Katy Perry’s 2019 song “Harleys in Hawaii” has a cool story behind it.

In a new Instagram post, Perry showed that the catchy tune was inspired by a romantic trip that she took with fiancé Orlando Bloom to Hawaii.

The singer shared a bunch of snaps from their trip there, and she even posted a video of them on a motorcycle.

In the song, Perry sings, “You and I, I / Ridin' Harleys in Hawaii-i-i / I'm on the back, I'm holdin' tight, I / Want you to take me for a ride, ride.”

She also says, “Boy, tell me, can you take my breath away? / Cruisin' down a heart-shaped highway / Got you swervin' lane-to-lane, don't hit the brakes / 'Cause I'm feelin' so safe.”

Looks like we know where those lyrics came from. Perry captioned her Instagram post, “Last slide is a lil video from the ride that actually inspired 'Harley’s In Hawaii.'”

And she also teased the latest TikTok trend, which involved users lip-synching to her song while turning their camera to the side.

“Should I do the #youandiiiiiii challenge on TikTok or na,” Perry joked.

Bloom must have inspired so many of Perry’s songs. Their love is so romantic!
