While the United States took Monday (May 29) to honor soldiers who died in battle or just enjoy some time off and barbecue with family, music stars too celebrated Memorial Day on social media.

With posts ranging from serious to playful, or even an opportunity to insert product placements, artists from Katy Perry to Pitbull to Nicki Minaj and more commemorated the occasion with posts for their fans and followers.
