Katy Perry appeared on Ellen on Wednesday, where she rolled out her latest summer single, “Small Talk”. The pop singer also sat down with host Ellen DeGeneres to discuss her former beef with Taylor Swift.
For her “Small Talk” performance, Perry was all about pink hues and glitter. Her outfit in particular, which consisted of a puffy top and tight hood, was covered in sparkles, inspired by Shelley Long’s character in Troop Beverly Hills.

On the topic of her Swift feud, Perry confirmed they’d “made amends” after nearly seven years of bad blood. “I’m all about redemption and forgiveness and for setting an example for those younger people that it can be cool to, you know, ask for forgiveness and confront someone you may have an issue with.”
After exchanging snarky social media posts and diss tracks since 2012, the two officially buried the hatchet in 2018. Perry initiated the whole thing by sending Swift a literal peace offering in the form of an olive branch. The pop stars made their newly established friendship public by both appearing in Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down” music video earlier this year.
