Katy Perry Jokingly Approves of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Romantic Relationship: 'I Ship'

Perry took to Instagram and reacted to photos of Swift and Kelce holding hands in N.Y.C. after appearing on 'Saturday Night Live' this weekend

There's anything but "Bad Blood" between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry right now — only support.

After Swift, 33, and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce made surprise appearances on Saturday Night Live and spent time together in New York City this weekend, Perry took to Instagram and expressed her full approval of their budding romance.

"I ship," commented the "Teenage Dream" singer, 38, on a photo of the pair holding hands post-SNL shared by Vogue to the social media platform, on which she also pressed the "like" button.

The two pop superstars have come a long way since the feud over backup dancers that inspired Swift's "Bad Blood" and Perry's "Swish Swish." After years of back-and-forth comments about behind-the-scenes issues between the musicians, they shared a hug and officially buried the hatchet in Swift's 2018 "You Need to Calm Down" music video.

Perry opened up about reconciling with Swift in a 2020 interview with Howard Stern. "What I'm so grateful for is that we did get to make up and we made up publicly to be an example of redemption," she said at the time.

"It's hard for young girls, growing up [with] cliques and high school and pettiness and all that stuff, so now we're super friendly," continued the "Harleys in Hawaii" performer. "I've always wanted the best for her, and we can talk about the best we want for each other."

Swift and Kelce, 34, were spotted multiple times in N.Y.C. over the weekend, walking hand-in-hand again on Sunday night as they left the Waverly Inn restaurant.

The previous night, they attended an SNL afterparty after both appearing on the show — Swift to introduce Ice Spice and Kelce in a sketch.

“Taylor and Travis were there all night and they were so smiley, they were so happy,” a source told PEOPLE regarding their time at the afterparty. “They were so talkative. They were really fun. They talked to every single person in the room that talked to them.”

“They were super cool. Super nice, super happy,” the source continued, as the couple reportedly stayed at the afterparty “until after 4 a.m.”

The insider also added that there was a moment when Kelce put Swift’s hands on his shoulders and then put his hands on her waist, “so they're face to face, and then he takes both his hands and grabs her waist. They're leaning in, they're kissing each other."
