Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Quit Playing Games and Actually Pose Together for a Photo

Man, it’s hard being a hot, new celebrity couple. Paparazzi trailing you 24/7 when all you really want to do is grope one another anonymously in a public setting. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom know this pain.

Since their coupledom was exposed following their Golden Globes tango, they’ve tried to avoid camera lenses at every turn, going so far as both attending Monday’s Met Gala — carrying matching Tamagotchis as if it was 19 friggin’ 96 — but walking the red carpet separately. However, later that night, they did us a solid by finally posing together for a pic at the After Gala hosted by Naomi Campbell and The Weeknd at Up&Down.

Katy’s black lipstick kind of prohibited make-out sessions — at least while the cameras were around — but her crazy beehive was still intact (holy hairspray!) and bangs were separated just so (like a curtain) as she cuddled up to the British actor in the pic. She’s clutching a wine glass with one hand and pointing her gold-painted digits at the camera with the other as if to say, OK, you may finally take our picture.

Orlando’s look is more like: Here we go! Like he knows there’s no turning back.

Katy and Orlando were a bit of a surprise coupling. But since they’ve started seeing each other, things have quickly turned serious. In March, they visited England, so that Bloom could introduce his family to the new woman in his life. Perry was also spotted spending time with his 5-year-old son, Flynn, way back in February — despite his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, saying that they had a rule about not introducing their son to potential mates until they had been dating for at least six months.

Looks like things are full speed ahead for these two.
