Ron Goldman, the friend of Nicole Brown Simpson who was murdered the same night she was, left behind a family that still mourns his death. Ron’s father, Fred, voiced his displeasure with the show’s inaccuracies. “There’s going to be a whole generation of people who never knew anything about this trial that will see this series and take it as gospel, when in fact it won’t be and isn’t,” he told Harvey.

Ron’s sister, Kim, was upset with how the show didn’t consult them first. “It’s everywhere all over again,” she said, referring to the public’s renewed interest in the murders and trial. “People [go], ‘Oh the acting’s riveting, and this is such a great plot line,’ and I’m thinking, ‘These are murders.’ It’s very confusing to us. … The show just kind of ripped the Band-Aid right back off, poured some gallons of salt in it, and then they’re gonna put the Band-Aid [back on] and leave us to be.”

Also invited onto Harvey’s show was Kato Kaelin. He took issue with actor Billy Magnussen’s portrayal of him. “His choice [is to play me] sort of as this airheaded guy, and he does it really big. You guys saw Wayne’s World, right?” he asked the audience. “He’s playing the part perfectly, for that. But for me, no, I gotta say, like I said, I think he’s a great actor, but his choice I believe was wrong.”

Kaelin was also upset that FX didn’t notify the Brown or Goldman families about the show and agreed with the Goldmans that the show is inaccurate. “I think there are a lot of inaccuracies, speaking on my behalf,” he told Harvey. “A lot of inaccuracies. Because how can one man’s book, it’s his opinion, how can he be privy to all these private conversations that went on? And I just think they’re putting the Kardashians in it too much, just because [producers are] smart, that they’re going, ‘They’re the biggest thing on social media, so you got to drop in these little hints.’”
