Katie Maloney Responds to Lala Kent Unfollowing Her on Instagram

On April 11, we reported on Lala Kent’s slight against Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix. Lala unfollowed her former friends on Instagram.

That might not seem like a big deal, but in the context of Vanderpump Rules Season 11, it can mean a lot. News of Lala’s unfollowing came right on the heels of reports that she was in a very bad place with Ariana.

Since Katie and Ariana are as tight as crossed fingers, a problem with one generally means a problem with the other. However, Katie was still rather surprised. See her explain her reaction below.

Katie is unsure of where she stands with Lala

In an interview with Us Weekly, Katie addressed Lala’s unfollowing, along with where the two stand presently. When asked about the unfollowing specifically, Katie said, “I found out about that through a post on Instagram. Lala and I like, over a year ago, had, you know, went through some stuff, and we repaired, I thought.”

She continued, “And then, this past season … we kind of got into some spats.” Katie said she felt that she and Lala “were not seeing eye to eye on a lot of things.” As such, she ultimately had to land on the answer: “I’m not entirely sure. I don’t really know what to say about it.” It would seem Katie was even more confused than the fans.

Scheana Shay was on a call with Katie for the interview and gave her two cents upon request as well. “I know how Lala has felt for a while now. A big thing at the reunion was Lala just kind of wanting everyone to tell the truth.”

Scheana continued, “And the things that Katie and I have both vented to her about, whether it be about Ariana specifically, the sandwich shop, the show – whatever it may be – she just really wanted us to say what we’ve said to her to everyone else.” Scheana revealed she and Lala were still in a good place.
