How Does Katie Holmes Make Money?

Outside of acting, Katie launched a fashion line with her longtime friend and stylist Jeanne Yang in 2009 called Holmes & Yang.

"I just want something I can wear all the time and nobody's going to say, 'Oh, I saw that yesterday.' We try to make beautiful things, and we're not so trend-driven," Katie told Women's Wear Daily ahead of the brand's first New York Fashion Week show in September 2012.

Of their first runway collection, the Miss Meadows star said, "It's basically pieces that have evolved from basics, but not too far. They're just nice, well-made luxury items that highlight the woman wearing them."

Katie decided to shutter the brand in 2014, as it took up too much of her time. "I loved every minute of my time working on Holmes & Yang. I remain passionate about the design aesthetic we created, and am so happy with what Jeanne and I accomplished," she told Elle U.K., adding, "However I am now concentrating on acting and motherhood, which did not leave the label the time and attention it deserved."

The First Daughter actress has participated in fashion endorsements for brands including Ann Taylor and H. Stern. She has also had beauty partnerships with Bobbi Brown and Alterna haircare.

Katie launched the production company Lafayette Pictures in partnership with Yale Productions in 2021, alongside producers Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman and Jesse Korman.

“I’ve been in this business a long time, and I always love the people that I work with, and then a movie ends and it’s like you don’t get to see them for 10 years,” Katie told Variety about her colleagues. “This situation means we can keep the family together.”

How Much Does Katie Holmes Make in Child Support?

When Katie and ex-husband Tom Cruise divorced in 2012, he agreed to pay $400,000 per year in child support towards their daughter, Suri Cruise, who was born in April 2006. The deal will expire in April 2024 when she turns 18.

“For years, Katie’s enjoyed a lavish lifestyle, thanks to Tom’s consistent support,” a source exclusively told In Touch in February 2024. “But as their child nears adulthood, both mother and daughter are facing an uncertain future. It’s a terrifying prospect — going from an amazing standard of living to a question mark overnight!”

Dawson’s Creek royalties don’t hold a candle to what Mission: Impossible generates!” the insider continued. “She’s actively looking for roles and is eager to throw herself back into the industry full-time. And don’t forget the non-disclosure agreement she signed — it’s set to expire, too. If things get tough, Katie could cash in by penning a tell-all book!”
