Kathy Griffin takes on Trump over Samantha Bee: You're not gonna do to her what you tried to do to me
As fallout continues over Samantha Bee’s Ivanka Trump slur, she has one (very outspoken) ally in her corner who knows a thing or two about taking on the first family: Kathy Griffin.
TBS announced that Bee won’t be fired for calling Ivanka the C-word, an action that does not sit well with the president. Trump made his opinion known on Twitter, calling the decision a double standard after Roseanne was canceled this week.
Why aren’t they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the horrible language used on her low ratings show? A total double standard but that’s O.K., we are Winning, and will be doing so for a long time to come!

Griffin — whose own scandal with Trump dominated headlines one year ago — jumped in.

After Griffin’s controversial photo shoot that showed her holding the bloody “head” of President Trump, the comedian was essentially blackballed from Hollywood. She also claimed that Trump ordered federal agents to investigate her and make her life miserable. Griffin apologized for the photo but has since rescinded the mea culpa. So it’s no surprise that the comedian has been actively tweeting in support of the Full Frontal With Samantha Bee host.

The uproar started Wednesday night when Bee was taking Ivanka to task over immigration. “You know, Ivanka,” the host said, looking into the camera, “that’s a beautiful photo of you and your child, but let me just say, one mother to another, do something about your dad’s immigration practices, you feckless c***!”
Bee has since apologized, as has TBS. The network told Yahoo Entertainment, “Those words should not have been aired. It was our mistake too, and we regret it.”

While TBS is sticking by her, some of her sponsors are not — Autotrader and State Farm have suspended advertising.
However, Bee has gotten a good amount of support in the last 24 hours too — like from Sally Field.
I like Samantha Bee a lot, but she is flat wrong to call Ivanka a cunt.
