Kathy Griffin and Randy Bick had the biggest New Year's Eve surprise. According to Page Six, the couple announced that they were engaged and that they'd be getting married that night.

This news comes three years after Griffin was revoked from hosting CNN's New Year's Eve program. Griffin was removed in response to the photo shoot she had in which she held a decapitated bloody replica on Donald Trump's head. Griffin and Bick made the announcement in a video that she posted on twitter. “Happy New Year! And, surprise! We’re getting married! Tonight! After midnight!” Griffin exclaimed in the video.

"She said yes!" Bick added.

Griffin tweeted a video from the wedding of Lily Tomlin officiating. "The entire ceremony was just under 14 minutes but I have to give you guys the uncut first 75 seconds. LOVE IT! We promised you atypical. We are in love and we cannot stop laughing. Thank you @LilyTomlin and Jane Wagner! #HappyNewYear," Griffin tweeted.

"What was supposed to be a shallow, 'toot it and boot it' one-night stand has grown and flourished into something far more meaningful," Tomlin began the ceremony. "They stayed together. Then they couldn’t stay away from one another."

The couple met at in 2011. After the steamy exchange, they began dating. They attended their first "formal date" together in September of that year. They continued to date until 2018. After taking a brief break, the couple got back together in 2019.

Griffin even tweeted a throwback picture of her and Bick on their first formal date. "A) This was our first formal date in September 2011! We are in the back of a limo provided by the one only @GloriaEstefan because her team arranged for me to surprise her as a back up “dancer” when she performed at the Alma awards!" Griffin tweeted along with the picture. Bick even picked that dress out to be her wedding gown for the New Year's Eve ceremony.

"asked Randy to pick out which ever one of my long dresses was his favorite for any reason. He picked out this dress and showed me this photo. Romance is hotttt again," Griffin tweeted.

Griffin had said in the video that she wanted her surprise ceremony to be "very atypical, very fun." Bick wanted to have a “great start to 2020.” Based on the ceremony video, it looks like Griffin and Bick got exactly what she was asking for. Congrats to the happy couple!
