New year, new chapter! Kicking off the new decade with a bang, Kathy Griffin married longtime boyfriend Randy Bick on New Year’s Day — and she had a little help from one very famous friend. In a clip shared by Griffin on Twitter, Grace and Frankie star Lily Tomlin can be seen officiating Griffin and Bick’s nuptials. And, spoiler alert, Tomlin’s officiating style is exactly how you likely imagined it would be: hilarious.

Griffin took to Twitter on Wednesday to share a quick peek at the event, writing, “The entire ceremony was just under 14 minutes but I have to give you guys the uncut first 75 seconds. LOVE IT! We promised you atypical. We are in love and we can’t stop laughing.” Griffin went on to thank Tomlin and Tomlin’s wife, Jane Wagner, who can be heard off-camera complimenting Griffin and Bick’s home and, more importantly, playing with their “puppies.”

Tomlin keeps a steely, “very official” composure before beginning. “What was supposed to be a shallow, ‘toot it and boot it’ one-night stand has grown and flourished into something far more meaningful,” she started the ceremony, eliciting laughter from the bride and groom. “They stayed together. Then they couldn’t stay away from one another.”

The wedding clip came not long after Griffin and Bick released a teaser video on New Year’s Eve announcing to followers that they’d be tying the knot after midnight western time. In subsequent posts on Twitter, Griffin offered more insight into the pearly white Diane Von Furstenberg dress she wore for the nuptials.

“A) This was our first formal date in September 2011! We are in the back of a limo provided by the one only @GloriaEstefan because her team arranged for me to surprise her as a back up ‘dancer’ when she performed at the Alma Awards!” Griffin captioned a sweet throwback photo of the now-husband-and-wife. In a follow-up tweet, she continued, “B) I asked Randy to pick out which ever one of my long dresses was his favorite for any reason. He picked out this dress and showed me this photo. Romance is hotttt again.”

Okay, that is cute. As of yet, Griffin hasn’t released the entire wedding video but has assured fans that she will. The comedian will reportedly be debuting the entire 15-minute wedding video on YouTube at some point on Thursday, with one caveat. “We are editing out the vows because we wanted those to be private and for us,” Griffin explained.

Happy new year — and new marriage — to the happy couple!
