Kathy Griffin was supposed to spend Wednesday night making a Miami audience laugh, but instead she was apologizing for having to postpone the show.

Griffin explained in a video that there was a problem — and it sounded like a scary one — with her flight. “The plane that we were traveling on had a fire in the back of the plane. We made an emergency landing,” she said. “Scrapes and cuts, but everybody’s OK. I’m actually stuck at a different airport in a different city. I sincerely apologize. You guys know I never cancel.”

The former Suddenly Susan actress later announced that the show would, in fact, go on at a later date.

Earlier in the day, Griffin’s Twitter feed caught the eye of Donald Trump Jr., the son of President Trump, who Griffin has made clear she does not support. She infamously tweeted a controversial photo of herself holding a mask made to look like Trump’s bloody severed head and was fired from her gig hosting New Year’s Eve on CNN and other backlash. She apologized, then took it back, and named her comeback tour, “Laugh Your Head Off.” It’s not unusual for the Trumps, at least their names, to appear in her Twitter feed.

Griffin, who’s also in favor of the #MeToo movement, said she was frustrated because comedian Norm Macdonald, who made comments earlier this week that appeared to criticize the #MeToo movement, has his own show on the streaming service. This was one of Don Jr.’s comments about Griffin’s remark that she “can’t get a Netflix special.”

Griffin is scheduled to return to the stage for a show in Orlando on Thursday, if she can get there.
