Kathy Bates is “ready” for her model moment.

The 75-year-old Oscar-winner stepped out for the CBS Fall Schedule Celebration in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 2, in celebration of the new reboot of the legal drama Matlock, in which Bates stars as Madeline Matlock.

At the event, Bates shared that while she hasn’t yet seen Kim Kardashian in American Horror Story, she’d be more than willing to star in a campaign for the reality star’s shapewear brand, SKIMS.

“I haven't had a chance to see it,” the actress told PEOPLE of Ryan Murphy's anthology horror series. “I've been learning lines for this.”

Bates continued, “But she sent me some SKIMS two or three years ago and she said she was going to put me in an ad. And so I think, Kim, I'm waiting. I'm ready.”

Since its launch in 2019, Kardashian, 43, has featured a wide range of stars in SKIMS campaigns, from Kim Cattrall to Usher.

In conversation with PEOPLE, Bates added that she’s heard Kardashian is “doing a great job” in her role as celebrity publicist Siobhan Corbyn in AHS’s 12th season, Delicate. Bates has been prominently featured in the series across multiple seasons.

The Emmy-winner first appeared in season 3, Coven, playing Delphine LaLaurie. She starred in the following three seasons and made her final appearance in season 8, Apocalypse, playing Miriam Mead, Miriam Mead 2.0, and Delphine LaLaurie.

Kardashain’s turn as Siobhan Corbyn marked her acting debut and was met with praise from both critics and costars.

Emma Roberts, who plays Corbyn’s client, actress Anna Victoria Alcott, gushed about her costar in an interview with Extra in January 2024.

"She's amazing, she's a pro," the star said. "She's one of the most prepared people I've ever worked with, and she's just chill. I love her so much."

Zachary Quinto, who made a cameo on the season, told PEOPLE in 2023 that Kardashian was "gonna do a wonderful job" on the show.

"She was so lovely and warm," he said of meeting her on set. "She seemed really in her element, and I was really impressed by her spirit and openness."

In an April 2024 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Kardashian admitted she hadn’t previously seen herself on AHS after host Jimmy Kimmel played a clip from the series.

“That's the first time I've seen it,” said the star.

She continued, “It's so funny, I can't watch it back. I get so nervous."

Kardashian said that she “can watch my show” — referring to Keeping Up with the Kardashians and The Kardashians — but AHS: Delicate is different. “I get so nervous. It’s such a weird feeling,” she said.
