After living so much of her life in the spotlight, Kathie Lee Gifford is ready for a change. In a recent interview, She explained that the next time she finds love, she’s keeping it to herself.

Gifford is, of course, a beloved television icon who audiences learned to love during her many years on Live with Regis and Kathie Lee. She continued her time on television by taking over Today where she and Hoda Kotb kept audiences entertained during the show’s often-raucous fourth hour. All that time in front of an audience has taught Gifford a few things, particularly around keeping her private life, private.

The television host was with her husband Frank Gifford for 28 years, before he died nearly nine years ago. If she does find new love, though, she’s not in a rush to share the news. “I’m so convinced that if the Lord brings another beautiful man into my life, I am not going to talk about it,” Gifford said during an interview with Entertainment Tonight reporter Rachel Smith. “We’ll probably get married privately and tell the world a year later, so that nobody’s opinion matters.”

Gifford, who spends much of her time in Nashville these days, may not have a romance in her life, but she has plenty of love to share with her kids and three grandchildren. Her daughter Cassidy welcomed her first child, a boy named Finn Thomas Wierda, while her son Cody Gifford and wife Erika Brown Gifford have two babies, Ford and Frankie. She is eager for more grandbabies, too: “I’m waiting for a Felipe,” she says in the video, laughing.
