Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley’s Daughter Naleigh Might Wants to Follow in Her Parents’ Footsteps
It looks as if Katherine Heigl’s daughter, Nancy Leigh, already has her future mapped out. Heigl’s musician husband, Josh Kelley, posted an adorable Instagram photo of 7-year-old Naleigh, as she’s nicknamed, holding up a list of her four dream jobs: singer, actor, doctor, and horseback rider.
“Just woke up to Naleighs life goals !! Haha…,” Kelley, 36, captioned the post.

The couple’s oldest child clearly isn’t afraid to dream big (and possibly follow in her parents’ footsteps). Titling her artwork “Four things that I would be when I grow up,” Naleigh drew scenes of herself singing onstage for a crowd of adoring fans, testing out her acting chops on a television show, helping patients in a hospital, and galloping away on a horse. It seems that she’s been leaning toward some of those occupations for a while, given Instagram posts showing her strumming a tiny pink guitar and happily petting a pony.

Kelley and Heigl adopted Naleigh from South Korea in September 2009 when she was just 9 months old. The couple then welcomed Adalaide Marie Hope, now 4, to the family through domestic adoption in 2012.
Way to my girls hearts! Family ice cream night!

Perhaps the ambitious Naleigh can teach Adalaide a thing or two about being a big sister as the Kelley-Heigl family continues to expand. In June, Heigl, 37, announced that she was pregnant with a baby boy, due in January 2017.
“The Kelley clan is thrilled to announce that we are expecting a third addition to our family,” the couple told People in a statement. “Naleigh and Adalaide could not be more excited to welcome their new sibling into the fold and Josh and I are overflowing with joy and gratitude.”

The couple, who wed in 2007, has always been open about their desire to grow their family first through adoption.
“My sister Meg is Korean, and my parents adopted her three years before I was born,” Heigl told Parent & Child in 2012. “I wanted my own family to resemble the one I came from, so I always knew I wanted to adopt from Korea. We have talked about having biological children as well, but we decided to adopt first. I just wanted to be a mom. So however we do that, it’s fine with me.”

Although the arrival of baby No. 3 was unexpected, the proud parents couldn’t be more thrilled.
“We’ve known for awhile that we wanted to add to our family and frankly didn’t really care how we chose to do that,” Heigl shared on her blog, Those Heavenly Days. “We were considering adoption again, fostering, or pregnancy if possible. Seeing as I have never been pregnant and, as my OB/GYN reminded me last year, I’m of advanced maternal age, I wasn’t sure pregnancy was even in the cards for us. Turns out it was very much in the cards!”

The actress revealed in a Sept. 20 blog post that she was experiencing intense cravings for fettuccine Alfredo and chocolate cake. Unfortunately for Heigl, Naleigh didn’t list “chef” as one of her potential careers. But the girls sure enjoy whipping up a few fun “mocktails” in the kitchen with Mom!
Cheers to big sisters with big dreams.
