When Katherine Heigl married singer-songwriter husband Josh Kelley, she also scored an on-call hair stylist!

On Saturday, the Firefly Lane star, 45, posted a video on Instagram of Kelley, 43, curling her hair as she jokingly shared that she's been "working with [him] for almost 20 years now."

"Every girl needs a trusted hairstylist to make her feel pretty this holiday season," she wrote. "No one’s better at the beach wave than him…or the tea spilling! 😂❤️."

While Heigl is the actor in the family, Kelley put on a Southern drawl in the lighthearted clip and gossiped away in the true tradition of hairstylists who spend just as much time chatting up their clients as they do blow drying. Katherine couldn't help but giggle away during his performance.

"Look at that — perfect curl," Kelley declared as Heigl showed off 'do, before giving her stamp of approval. "Perfect," she agreed.

Heigl and Kelley — who first met in 2005 when she starred in the music video for his song "Only You" — have been married since 2007. They share three children, daughters Naleigh, 15, and Adalaide, 11, and son Joshua, 6. In 2010, after Heigl exited Grey's Anatomy, the couple moved to Utah, where they are raising their family.

In September, Heigl opened up about their decision to leave Hollywood behind during an appearance on Today with Hoda & Jenna.

"You know, it’s odd. I think some people are mountain people, and I think some people are beach people," she said at the time. "I’m sort of a mountain person and have always been that way. And my mom realized, because we went out to L.A. when I was 17 and hustled and hustled for years, right? And I think she realized at a certain point that I needed somewhere to escape to and kind of clear my head and that grounded me."

"So we started trying to find, and dreaming about trying to find, that perfect place. And we found Utah, and then I started making enough money to be able to afford that," she continued.

She went on to explain that she and her mother each built a house in Utah, thinking they would be vacation homes that they would visit when they needed a break from "the hustle."

"And we just started spending more and more time there. And it was my husband who finally made it his primary residence on his driver’s license and stuff. And we went. ‘Yeah, I think this is our primary residence. We live here now,' " she recalled.

While she shared that the family enjoys a comfortable, peaceful life in Utah, Heigl noted that her kids sometimes yearn for a little more excitement.

"My children sometimes wish they were in more of a hubbub exciting city," she explained. "But I said to them, ‘I understand that you are sacrificing that in some ways but I still think it was the right choice for our family because I am more centered and aware of what’s going on in your life.' "

"It’s a smaller town, I know who your friends are, who you are spending time with, I know what’s up with school. It’s just easier to keep my finger on the pulse," she added.
