Katharine McPhee and David Foster's son Rennie David playing drumsIt looks like Katharine McFee Foster and David Foster’s son inherited his parents’ talent.
In a video posted to Instagram, McPhee Foster, 39, shows her 3-year-old son Rennie David playing drums on stage during her and her husband’s show in Washington D.C. on Sunday. The toddler can be seen hitting the tambourine as his famous parents cheer him on.
“Had a VERY special guest join us on stage for the first time 🥁 #ProudMom,” McPhee Foster captioned the video.
The video starts with the singer standing in the back dancing while watching Rennie David drum along with Foster, 74, on the piano.

Nicole Scherzinger expressed how impressed she was with a sweet comment: “Omg I cannot even!!!!!!! A child prodigy!!! 🥁 🥁🥁🥁.”

This skill is nothing new. In January, the legendary music producer shared a video to his Instagram of his son as he expertly played the drums.
Sitting with his custom drum set with his name printed on the front, Rennie David wore headphones and performed a drum solo. As he played, his dad sat back on a couch, watching.
"❗️ Drumming into the new year ❗️#still2yearsold," Foster wrote in his caption about his son, who turned 3 on Feb. 22.
McPhee Foster and Foster recently took their little boy to Walt Disney World in Florida to celebrate his third birthday. On Feb. 19, the actress posted a video on her Instagram Story, sharing how the family was spending their free time.
"I dragged the fam to Disneyworld for Rennie's bday on a day off. Whose [sic] happier than me?" McPhee Foster wrote.
Other photos captured the trio exploring the theme park and interacting with various Disney characters.
In addition to Rennie, Foster is a dad to five adult children — Allison, 53, Amy, 50, Sara, 42, Erin, 41, and Jordan, 37.
