Katharine McPhee Claps Back at Twitter Troll Mocking Her Relationship with David Foster
Katharine McPhee has zero time available on her wedding planning agenda for haters.
Though the Scorpion actress, 34, has already said ‘yes’ to fiancé David Foster, she’s having a bit of trouble narrowing down the ladies who will stand by her side. On Sunday, she shared an update about the struggles of selecting her bridesmaids on Twitter.
“Picking your bridal party is like a real life Myspace top 8,” McPhee wrote.

Looking to rain on her planning parade, one angry social media user who goes by the name @whiittxo replied in a post about the tweet on E! News’ Instagram account: “Except MySpace lasted longer than this marriage ever will.”
This particular remark warranted two cents from McPhee. In a screenshot of the photo captured by Comments By Celebs, the singer was clearly over it when it came to letting trolls jab at her relationship with the famed musician.
“@whiittxo I’m assuming it also lasted longer than any relationship you ever had with a hairdresser?” McPhee wrote on Instagram in response to the negative comment.

McPhee and Foster, 69, got engaged last July. After dodging relationship rumors for months, they confirmed that Foster had proposed with a sparkling emerald-cut diamond ring while they vacationed in Anacapri, Italy. While the pair has not yet revealed their wedding date, McPhee recently shared an Instagram photo of herself trying on wedding dresses.
“Wedding dress fittings today with @jordiefos! It was such a happy day. (It’s not the dress, but just wanted to share) ??,” McPhee, posing in a long veil and a floor-length backless dress, captioned the photo. Jordan Foster is the stylist daughter of McPhee’s fiancé.

The couple has been friends for years — first meeting on the set of American Idol when McPhee was a contestant in 2006.
“We genuinely love and respect each other and have for a very long time,” McPhee told PEOPLE in September 2018.

“He has things to learn from me and I have a lot of things to learn from him,” McPhee added to PEPOLE, “so I think we have a nice yin and yang.”
This will be the second marriage for McPhee, who was previously wed to Nick Cokas, and the fifth for Foster, who was most recently married to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Hadid.
