Yahoo Movies talked to Kate Winslet about the naked Titanic painting made by a fan and handled to her at the Divergent premiere.

Video transcript

- Thanks for speaking to Yahoo today. I've got to ask you, first of all, I was watching the live stream of the premiere of this film, and someone handed you--

KATE WINSLET: You're going to ask me a question I haven't been asked yet. Great. Love it.

- And someone handed you a picture which I can only describe as a naked drawing of yourself. Does this happen often?

KATE WINSLET: Yeah, it does. I don't sign that one. I don't sign that one. It feels very uncomfortable. Why would you do that?

- Did you get to keep it?

KATE WINSLET: No. No, they were asking me to sign it.

- Oh, right, OK.

KATE WINSLET: But people ask me to sign that one a lot. And actually, there's a photo of it as well that someone's lifted from a still of the film, and that photo gets passed around. It's like, no, I didn't mean for it to be a photograph that I would end up seeing 16, 17 years later.

- It's still haunting you.

KATE WINSLET: Yeah, it is actually still haunting me. Yeah, it's quite funny really.

- There's a lot of hype around Shailene before the movie comes out here. A lot of people dubbing her the new Jennifer Lawrence. So were you able to give her any sort of advice on how to deal with that sort of level of expectation? Because you were in a similar situation before "Titanic" came out.

KATE WINSLET: Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, I mean, what Shai and Theo are going through right now is exactly the same as what Kate and Leo were going through. It really is no different. I mean, actually, I have to say, I think it's probably harder for them just because of the digital world now and how you can access movies and images from so many other mediums than you ever could before. So I think it's just happening much faster for them than it probably did for us.

But yeah, no, Shai and I talk all the time. She's doing fine. She's doing just fine.

You can't let them find out about you. They're always watching.
