Will and Kate Are Reportedly "Anxious" About Harry and Meghan's TIME 100 Photoshoot
Quick royals update: The feud between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and the rest of The Firm is reportedly still very a thing. In related news, that ongoing feud is reportedly causing Prince William and Kate Middleton some ongoing stress.
According to royal author and expert Duncan Larcombe, Will and Kate's latest cause of concern is Harry and Meghan's recent 2021 TIME 100 photoshoot, which included pictures of the couple taken at their home in California.
"Kate and William are in danger of being dragged into a transatlantic popularity contest," Larcombe told OK! magazine (per The Mirror). "They will feel anxious over the cover and everything Harry and Meghan do as it always seems to reflect on them. William and Kate are concerned about absolutely everything that comes out of America in regards to Harry and Meghan, especially Harry's tell-all warts and all memoir that's gonna hit the shelves sometime next year. They have no control over the narrative."
FWIW, though, not every royal expert thinks Will and Kate are stressing about what Harry and Meghan do. In a new interview with Us Weekly, royal expert and True Royalty TV co-creator Nick Bullen had a different take. Even though he agreed that things are still definitively Not Good between Will and Harry, Bullen doesn't think the Sussexes are living rent-free in the Cambridges' heads or anything.
"I think the depths of the sadness and split between the two brothers is incredibly deep and incredibly raw, and I think it’s going to take a lot to get the two of them back together," Bullen said. "I think at the moment William and Kate are focusing on their work, focusing on the children, focusing on supporting the queen. I don’t know, but I don’t think they spend a lot of time thinking about the Harry and Meghan situation."
For the sake of the mental and emotional wellbeing of everyone involved, we're hoping Bullen's take is closer to the truth.
