Kate Moss says her 'prudish' teenage daughter thinks her clothes are too risqué

Kate Moss has revealed that her 19-year-old daughter refuses to wear some of her old outfits because they are too revealing.

The 48-year-old supermodel told Vogue that she is willing to share clothes with Lila — her daughter with magazine editor Jefferson Hack — but the teenager is often not so keen to put on her mum's looks.

"Lila's started to wear my things, and we have to be careful," said Moss, revealing that her daughter dismissed a particular mini skirt as being too short for her.

Moss added that young people are "so prudish nowadays" and said "they’re all scared to be themselves and I think they should dress as they want".

She revealed that, in one situation, she was shocked when Lila talked about wearing nipple pasties — a patch to cover the nipple — with a sheer top.

"Never wear a pasty. That’s my advice to the younger generation," Moss said.

Moss was recruited into the fashion world as a teenager at the end of the 1980s and became a famous catwalk figure during the 1990s.

The model was recently named as the new creative director of Diet Coke and has launched a campaign featuring limited edition cans, which echo some of her most famous looks.

Lila was born in 2002 during Moss's relationship with Hack, which came after her split from Johnny Depp in 1998.

Moss was recently called to testify in the defamation trial involving Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard, speaking for just a few minutes as she denied a rumour that he pushed her down the stairs during their relationship.

During the later half of the noughties, Moss was in a tumultuous relationship with Libertines frontman Pete Doherty that led to both of them being fixtures in the tabloid press.

She married guitarist Jamie Hince in 2011 and the couple divorced five years later.
