While Meghan Markle’s mom Doria Ragland has been dominating the news now that Meghan and Harry are moving back to North America, there’s another royal mom we’ve been neglecting. Kate Middleton’s mother Carole just turned 65, and the photos from her birthday party are too cute. Curious how a royal-adjacent celebrates this milestone year? As it turns out, her celebration involved a surprise set-up, envy-worthy desserts, and lots and lots of pink.

Details on Carole’s birthday bash come to us courtesy of Party Pieces, a party supply company founded and run by none other than Carole herself. The hardworking Middleton mom showed up to work on her 65th birthday having no idea what was in store, and the whole company came together with a series of surprises to make the birthday girl’s day.

We’re not kidding when we say we’re almost tearing up over how sweet this all is — come on, when’s the last time your coworkers brought out a cake with your face on it for your birthday, hmm?! For us, the answer is never — so for that, and many more reasons, we were very impressed with this display of coworker-ly love.

Granted, setting up parties is literally Party Pieces’s job, but we’re still in awe over the elaborate scene they shared on Instagram. Beyond the cake, which features a photo of Carole, there’s a full buffet meal, a separate table just for desserts, and balloons and streamers as far as the eyes can see.

“We’ve set up the office for a very special 65th birthday! 🎉🎉🎉,” Party Pieces wrote under their shared photos. “We think we did a good job, but how about you? Got a party set up you’re proud of? Share it with us! We’d love to see what you guys do with your party pieces! 🤩👀 (Okay, we’re going to tuck into the party nibbles now, YUM!).”

Happy birthday, Carole Middleton!
