There’s no doubt about it, Kate Middleton celebrated Christmas 2019 in style. The Duchess of Cambridge looked picture-perfect as she participated in the royal family’s annual Christmas walk to the Church of St. Mary Magdalene on Dec. 25 alongside husband Prince William and children Prince George and Princess Charlotte. But while she appeared to be all smiles while celebrating with her family, a new report claims she wasn’t exactly the most comfortable.

Apparently, the mother-of-three regretted wearing such a heavy coat for the occasion. A fan who reportedly spoke with The Duchess revealed that she was talking about how hot she felt all bundled up. “Kate was talking to my daughter about clothes and how she was feeling too hot,” the fan’s mother, Karen Anvil, told Metro. “She said, ‘I really shouldn’t have worn this.'”

Yes, we’ve all been there, Kate.

But even with the fashion faux pas, Kate still managed to have a wonderful holiday with her family — which consisted of other traditional celebrations including Queen Elizabeth II’s annual Christmas lunch. However, not all of the royal family members participated in the festivities. Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their son Archie were notably absent from all holiday events this year, as they were busy spending “private family time” in Canada with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.

While the Queen was reportedly “disappointed” by the couple’s decision to skip out on the festivities, she ultimately gave her blessing. “Having spent the last two Christmases at Sandringham, Their Royal Highnesses will spend the holiday this year, as a new family, with the Duchess’ mother Doria Ragland,” the statement released by Buckingham Palace read. “This decision is in line with precedent set previously by other members of the Royal Family, and has the support of Her Majesty The Queen.”
