Kate Middleton Shared a Gorgeous New Photo for Princess Charlotte's Birthday & It's Clear Which Parent She Takes After

There’s another royal birthday, ladies and gents! Just last week, Prince Louis turned 6, and today, Princess Charlotte turns 9! For Prince Louis’ birthday, Kate Middleton and Prince William shared a new photo of their youngest. Keeping with tradition, they shared a new picture of their daughter today, and she is just stunning!

In the picture, the young royal is outside in what looks to be a garden. She is casually leaning on some florals and wearing a denim skirt, a blue top with a patterned collar peeking out, and a red cardigan. Princess Charlotte looks so laid back and happy, smiling for the camera while her long blonde locks drape effortlessly down past her elbow.

“Happy 9th Birthday, Princess Charlotte! 🎂,” the caption said. “Thank you for all of the kind messages today.”

The post went on to say that Middleton was the one to take the photo, just like she did for her youngest son. It’s a noteworthy move by the palace given the scandal after they shared a photo in March that had awful edits [reportedly] done by Middleton.

What followers found to be even more noteworthy, was how clear it is which parent Princess Charlotte looks like.

“William said copy and paste,” one follower said because the 9-year-old is the spitting image of the Prince of Wales.

“She’s his mini all the way,” another replied.

All she is, they said, is William with hair! (A little jab at the balding heir to the throne.)

Now the question is, will she look like her late grandma Princess Diana when she’s grown up? They already have the same facial expression.

Just like Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte has her hands balled up in her birthday portrait. And we can’t help but wonder if this has something to do with the fact that the royal family has been called out twice for Prince Louis’ fingers being edited out of photos. Is it best to just remove the possibility of a missing finger entirely?!

Needless conspiracies aside, we are so happy to wish the Queen of Sass the happiest of birthdays. Here’s to another year of sugar, spice, and sticking up for your little brother.
