Kate Middleton and Prince William are reuniting with Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 41, entertained Princess Victoria, 46, and Prince Daniel, 50, at Windsor Castle on Thursday. It was a short trip for Prince William and Princess Kate, who live in Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Castle estate.

The two couples greeted each other warmly with hugs and kisses on the cheek.

"A pleasure to welcome The Crown Princess of Sweden and Prince Daniel to Windsor this morning," William and Kate's team captioned a photo of the foursome shared on social media, adding an emoji of Sweden's flag.

The Swedish royals are on a few days' visit to the U.K., and William and Kate wanted to cement their relationship with their counterparts. With William and Victoria both heirs to their respective thrones, they share a unique bond and are uniquely placed to continue the close relationship between the two royal families and their two countries.

Later on Thursday, the two couples are set for a royal double date at the Royal Variety Performance in London.

The annual event, this time being held at London's Royal Albert Hall, will feature Cher as a headliner as well as Swedish pop star Zara Larsson. The show also features an exclusive 100th anniversary celebration from Disney Theatrical as well as other performances from British singer Paloma Faith and Chinese pianist Lang Lang.

After the show, it is expected that both royal couples will go backstage to meet some of the performers.

The two couples have spent time together a few times in recent years. The Swedish royals were invited to William and Kate's wedding in 2011, and the British pair visited with them in January 2018. They also likely crossed paths earlier this year when Princess Victoria accompanied her father, King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden, at King Charles' coronation in May.

On Wednesday, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel kicked off their visit to the U.K. with a trip to a pub! At The Three Blackbirds pub in Newmarket, Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel stepped behind the bar. The future queen of Sweden poured herself a draft beer — the Norfolk Topper by Barsham Brewery — before raising the glass and taking a sip.

The pair also met the pub owner, discussed English pub culture and heard a presentation about East Anglia during their visit.
