The Duchess of Cambridge's brother is now a married man.

James Middleton, an entrepreneur, tied the knot with French financial analyst Alizee Thevenet in an intimate ceremony in southeastern France on Saturday. Middleton broke the news on his Instagram account with a selfie of him and his bride, with their dog Mable in the background. Thevenet, 31, can be seen wearing a white off-shouldered gown with lace detailing, while Middleton, 34, pairs an off-white suit jacket with a light-blue dress shirt and dark-colored tie.

"Mr & Mrs Middleton ❤️ 🇬🇧 🇫🇷. Yesterday I married the love of my life surrounded by family, friends and of course a few dogs in the beautiful village or Bormes-les-Mimosas. Words cannot describe how happy I am ❤️," he wrote.

Prince William, Duchess Kate, and their children—Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3—traveled to France to attend the ceremony, a royal insider confirmed. Also among the guests were Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, as well as her sister, Pippa Middleton; Pippa's husband, James Matthews; and their two children, Arthur and Grace Matthews.

The quick trip to France could be Will and Kate's last hurrah of the summer, as their kids return to school and they return to royal duties. The Cambridges also traveled to visit Queen Elizabeth at her holiday estate Balmoral earlier this month.

The newly married couple were engaged in September 2019, but they had to postpone their wedding due to pandemic restrictions. According to People, they met in the summer of 2018 at the South Kensington Club. In an adorable meet-cute, Middleton's cocker spaniel, Ella, the namesake for his dog wellness company, Ella & Co., approached Thevenet, and the rest was history.

In his birthday post earlier this year, Middleton thanked his pup for bringing him happiness.

"She was the one who introduced me to Alizee, she supported me during my experience with clinical depression, she has kept me young & active and is the driving force behind my motivation to launch @ella.co," he wrote.

Middleton and Thevenet, who is also an animal lover, celebrated one year of being engaged with a trip to Italy in September 2020. He recalled their wild year in the caption, revealing that they had already made two attempts at a wedding.

"The best part is that I get to share it with you @alizeethevenet and I can't wait to take on whatever the future holds for us ✨," he wrote.
