Will Kate Middleton and Prince William have more children? It’s a question that seems to be popping up with increasing frequency lately. But judging by a candid comment Kate made to a fan while the royal couple visited Bradford, Yorkshire, it looks as though three may be the lucky number when it comes to Cambridge kids.

Kate and William have already welcomed three beautiful children into the royal family: Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1. However, last February Kate sparked speculation that they would perhaps give their little royals a sibling one day. While touring Northern Ireland, she couldn’t help but fawn over a 5-month-old baby, admitting to the infant’s father, “He’s gorgeous. It makes me feel broody.”

But while visiting Bradford on Wednesday of this week, Kate seemed to squash the notion that more kids could be in their future. Royal fan Josh Macplace, who is autistic and has DiGeorge syndrome, was particularly excited to tell the duchess he has sent her cards congratulating the family after the birth of each of their three children. Thanking the 25-year-old and giving him a hug, Kate revealed he might not get the chance to send out any more cards. “I don’t think William wants any more,” she admitted.

While it’s impossible to know for sure if Kate and William might change their minds at some point, they have plenty to focus on for the time being. In the greater scope of the royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are dealing with uncharted territory for the monarchy as they try to figure out how to honor Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wishes to “step back” from senior royal duties.

And on a personal level, well, they’re parents of three young kids — meaning there’s probably never a dull moment in the Cambridge household. In fact, they recently reached a new and exciting milestone with the baby of the family. Per People, Kate shared the proud moment on Wednesday while visiting a grandparents-and-babies-group.

Shared Jo Broadbent, who was there with her 6-year-old granddaughter, “I asked [Kate] how her children were. She said Louis had started to tell her ‘he’s balancing,’ and she said it was really nice to see him turning into a little boy from being a baby. She’s obviously very proud of her children.”
