ICYMI: Kate Middleton became an aunt once again last fall when her brother James Middleton became a dad. The entrepreneur and his wife Alizee Thevenet announced the birth of their baby boy, Inigo, in October. James already knows the realities of fatherhood — heck, parenthood — all too well and posted a hilarious meme on the Instagram page for his pet food company, James & Ella.

In the photo, one of James’ golden retrievers lays on the ground and has the groggiest look on his face, glassy eyes and all. Behind him, another pup is sound asleep.

“My face when I’ve been woken up by the 6 month old 👶 at 4 in the morning 🥱,” James captioned the post.

Because the sleep deprivation with an infant is real. The post is so spot on that we found ourselves laughing … and yawning. Because if we don’t do both, we’ll cry … and actually fall asleep.

James wrote the sweetest birth announcement for his son back in October.

“[Inigo] has been in our lives for just a few weeks but they have been the most special of my life getting to know our beautiful baby boy 💙,” James said. “No matter how prepared I thought I was … I was not prepared for the overwhelming emotion of meeting Inigo for the first time and the love for my darling Alizée as we became three.”

Even if they’ve become increasingly sleepy, James said at the time that the dogs have been “fantastic at welcoming their little brother into the pack. “Although Inka needs to know the teddybears are not all for her…” he continued in parenthesis.

James told Good Morning Britain that he had been preparing his six (!!!) dogs for Inigo’s arrival, giving them “quite a lot” of “pep talks.”

“About what we’re about to be going through, and I think that is a really exciting next step for us as a family. I’m very much looking forward to it, and I know the dogs are very excited,” he said.

And, quite frankly, a pack of very excited yet very sleepy dogs sounds just like a pair of new parents.
